Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 and To the Swordsmith VIllage trailer

You now know all the facts and our thoughts related to Demon Slayer season 3, as well as the To the Swordsmith Village event, which means that you’ve probably deduced by yourselves that there is no official trailer for the third season of Demon Slayer. This is simply because it’s still too early for a third season trailer; the season is still several months away, so we’ll just have to wait for a bit longer to actually see a full trailer, especially with the focus shifting on the worldwide event as of December 2022.

As we have said, Demon Slayer was a sure candidate for renewal, but it’s still too early in the production for a proper trailer. The manga was a true hit, and the anime is practically one of the most popular in the history of the genre, so renewal was more than likely. And while we now know that the season is set to premiere in April, this means that it’s still a tad too early for a proper trailer, as we have said. What we do have, though, is an official teaser, which you can check out here:

Along with the teaser, we have also received some official artwork focusing on the two Hashira who are going to play a major role during the Swordsmith Village Arc. The Hashira are, of course, Muichiro Tokito, the Mist Hashira, and Mitsuri Kanroji, the Love Hashira.

At last, a more concrete teaser trailer was released on April 16, 2022, and you can check it out here:

As you can see, this is not a proper Demon Slayer Season 3 trailer but rather a longer recap of what we’ve seen so far, similar to the promotional reel we’ve seen above, along with a brief glimpse into what we can expect from Season 3 of Demon Slayer. We’ve seen the Swordsmith Village, and, of course, the trailer focuses on Tokito and Kanroji, the two Hashira that are going to be the focus of the season; no information on the villains has been provided, but we’ll definitely see more of them in the proper trailer, once it arrives.

Taking into account everything we’ve said, a proper trailer for Demon Slayer season three is unlikely to appear before early 2023, depending on how busy of a schedule the production is going to have related to the event.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 and To the Swordsmith VIllage plot

Knowing what we know now, the upcoming third season of Demon Slayer will be adapting the next major arc that follows the Entertainment District Arc. That arc is the Swordsmith Village Arc, which, along with the shorter Hashira Training Arc, leads into the Final Battle Arc. Since we now know what the third season will adapt to, we can introduce the Swordsmith Village arc to you. Here is a brief synopsis of both.

To pick up his new Nichirin Blade, Tanjiro Kamado was dispatched to the Swordsmith Village. He runs into Mitsuri Kanroji and Genya Shinazugawa there. While strolling around the hamlet, Tanjiro comes into Muichiro Tokito, who is requesting a key to give Kotetsu. The key would enable Yoriichi Zeroroshiki, a rare Nichirin Blade-holding ancient doll, to be launched.

Muichiro fractures one of the doll’s six arms while practicing with her. Kotetsu flees, distraught at the idea that he won’t be able to mend the doll and follow in his father’s footsteps as a craftsman. Tanjiro locates him and offers assistance. Kotetsu then asks Tanjiro to grow stronger than “that darn indifferent bastard” when he arrives at the broken doll.

Training with the combat doll begins, which is hard and brutal. Tanjiro continues to hit the doll after seven days, and after acquiring the capacity to smell the enemy’s movements through smell, the following day, he lops off Yoriichi Zeroshiki’s head. The heroes discover a vintage nichirin sword within the doll, which Hotaru Haganezuka takes to be polished and mended.

Both the Fourth and the Fifth Upper Moons appear and unexpectedly assault the Swordsmith Village. Hantengu faces them as a fight breaks out, just as Tanjiro Kamado and Muichiro Tokito are having the chat that will eventually have an impact on Muichiro Tokito. Genya Shinazugawa and Nezuko Kamado had a connection to this conflict. After being expelled from the combat, Muichiro runs upon Gyokko, who is about to murder Haganezuku but stops him by interrupting his polishing.

By surpassing himself, Muichiro awakens a mark that resembles a mist and vanquishes Gyokko. In the meantime, Mitsuri Kanroji joins the conflict with Hantengu and also gets a heart-shaped mark. Tanjiro wields his brand-new, imperfectly polished blade to pursue the actual body of the fourth moon. Nezuko Kamado overcomes her demonic abilities and is no longer hurt by the sun’s rays, and the fifth and fourth Kizuki is defeated.

Demon Slayer: Kimetsu no Yaiba Season 3 and To the Swordsmith VIllage cast
